Gift Planning – GP 101 is a 1/2 day program designed to provide fundamental knowledge in gift planning.  Topics include the basic types of planned gifts, such as Bequests under Wills, Beneficiary Designations, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD’s) from IRA’s, etc.  The program also includes definitions, terminology and concepts in estate planning and multi-generational wealth transfers. Whether you are a dedicated gift planner or the only person in a one-person development staff, whether you are new to the field of planned giving or you are a veteran in the field, this program provides insight to have your efforts raised to the next level.  You will learn why planned gifts are more important today than they have ever been, and you will learn what you can do to start or jump-start your organization’s efforts in this important area of development.
